DISCIPLINE AND CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Every pupil should attend the class regularly & punctually.
  • Students are expected to be in the class room five minutes before the appointed time. Late comers may not be allowed to enter the class.
  • A pupil who is habitually late, comes to school without proper uniform, does not abide by the school rules will be asked to leave the school.
  • Students are strictly instructed to speak only in English at the school premises in order to acquire fluency in spoken English.
  • Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the student who fails to abide by this rule.
  • No pupil will be allowed to leave the school during school hours unless a written request is sent to the Principal by the parent or guardian.
  • Irregular attendance and unjustified or unexplained absence for more than a week, discourtesy or disrespect to teacher are sufficient cause of dismissal as well.
  • A Pupil who has been absent for more than three days at a stretch, because of illness is expected to submit sufficient Medical records and Doctor's Certificate before joining school.
  • Any student, who has been absent from school or is late for more than three times a month, will not be allowed to the class without the Principal Signature.
  • Pupils should realize that they are responsible to the school authorities, not only for their conduct in the school, but also for their general behaviour.
  • Every student is urged to contribute to the high tone of discipline of the school by their good manners and conduct. Their language must be above reproach.
  • The school does not claim responsibility for the loss of books etc.
  • No collection of money for any purpose, whatsoever, should be done. No meeting, demonstration, party or picnic may be held, without the previous permission of the Principal.
  • Gifts to the staff or other demonstration in their honour also requires previous sanction of the Principal.
  • Fines for faults against discipline, irregularity and unsanctioned leave may be imposed only by the Principal or only with the permission of the Principal.
  • Students should preferably carry home-made food for consumption during recess.
  • Each student is expected to have everything that is necessary or prescribed by the school authorities.
  • The Monitors and Members of the Students Council of the school along with the volunteers have the duty to uphold the good name of the school.
  • When the students go for P. T. class or when they move along the corridor for changing classes, they must walk in a single line in silence.
  • It is not advisable for the students to have large sums of money or other valuable articles, jewellery etc. while in the school.
  • For the smooth running of the school, any objects (Crackers, Water – Pistols, Magazines, Papers, irritating Stuff, etc.) that are liable to prove a source of disturbance, if found with the students, will make them liable for punishment. Students possessingobscene books or pictures or found lending them to others will be expelled from the school.
  • Running or playing or shouting inside the school compound is not encouraged. Cameras, Mobile phones, I-Pods are strictly prohibited, if found a fine of Rs. 500 will be levied.
  • Any damage done in or around the school premises or to school property, must be made good by the parent of the student responsible. If the offender is not discovered, a collective fine may be imposed upon the entire class. The decision of the Principal regarding the amount to be paid is final.
  • Students leaving the premises of the school in the course of the day will have to take the written permission from the Principal.
  • No student is allowed to remain in the classroom during PT class. Any student of one class is not permitted to enter another class.
  • No student will be exempted from Physical Exercise (drill) without a doctor's certificate, which must be renewed every semester and counter- signed by the Principal.
  • Personal cleanliness is expected from all. Uniforms must be clean and neatly pressed. Shoes should be cleaned periodically. Finger nails need to be pared and hair should be trimmed and neatly arranged.
  • All should take care and honest pride in keeping their school clean. Be very careful. During the recess students should not litter the classroom/premises with paper, plastics, wrappers, etc.
  • All the students must use their own material and are themselves responsible for the safety of the same.
  • Report on conduct and progress is issued in the Progress Report Card and on the calendar from time to time. On the day after they are issued, they have to be shown to the class teacher, duly signed and dated by the parents/ guardians.
